Beach Watch provides beach conditions, flag status, and surf forecasts for informational purposes only. This information is not a substitute for official safety guidance from lifeguards, local authorities, or government agencies. Always follow posted beach flags and instructions from on-site personnel.
2. No Warranty or Guarantee of Accuracy
Conditions data is sourced from third-party websites, the National Weather Service, and AI-assisted parsing. We make no guarantee that information is accurate, complete, or current. Conditions at beaches change rapidly and without notice. Do not rely solely on this app to make decisions about water safety.
3. Limitation of Liability
Beach Watch and its operators shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, any information provided by this application. You use this service entirely at your own risk.
4. Your Information & Privacy
We collect your email address and optionally your phone number to deliver beach condition alerts you have requested. We do not sell your personal information. We may share your contact information with trusted partners for relevant offers, updates, or services — but only if you have provided separate explicit consent to do so. You may withdraw that consent at any time from the Settings screen or by contacting the administrator. You may also request deletion of your account at any time by contacting the administrator.
5. Notifications
By registering, you consent to receiving beach condition alerts via the channels you select (email, SMS, push notifications). You may update or disable notifications at any time from the Settings screen.
6. Advertising
Beach Watch is a free service supported by display advertising. By using this application, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Display ads are part of the service. Advertisements may be shown within the application at any time. Display advertising cannot be opted out of as it is integral to the free operation of the service.
- Third-party ad networks. Ads are served by third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense). These networks may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve relevant advertisements and measure ad performance. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies.
- Ad content. Beach Watch does not endorse or control the content of third-party advertisements. We are not responsible for the products, services, or information promoted in ads.
- Partner marketing emails are separate and optional. Partner promotional emails are distinct from display ads and require your separate explicit consent. You may opt out of partner emails at any time — this does not affect display advertising within the app.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes arising from use of this service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
